On February 8, 1995, Alha Beta Chapter listened to Carol Lyons talk about a dream for a community auditorium in fort Frances. Of course, it was going to take effort and money to become a reality. A sorority sister suggested that Beta Sigma Phi consider volunteering as ushers for future events, shoul the auditorium become a fact. City council supported this idea and so the matter rested.
Finally, the time came for the Grand Opening. Beta Sigma Phi’s sisters, dressed in black and white with a Beta Sigma Phi badge welcomed guests to two opening night performances of Natalie McMaster.
Sorority regularly provides ushering services for Little Theatre, Tour de Fort, High School plays and musicals, Vala Follies, Dance Recitals and many more.
